Author: shelley oakden

Walsall Council, with effect from April 2020, have procured an energy brokerage service to manage and purchase all council gas and electric services.

Moving forward we are inviting all independent and 3rd party sectors who currently purchase energy through the Council contracts to meet with a representative from the energy brokerage company (the Consultus Group) and Facilities Management to get a better understanding of the new process that will be implemented.

The meeting will be held at 10am, and 2pm on 28 November 2019 at Walsall Town Hall where the energy broker will present the processes and options for a new contract.  The new contracts for both electricity and gas will be managed and agreed in the same method as the current gas contract, all 3rd party and independent sites will sign individual contracts with the supplier.

Please confirm attendance or non-attendance to this meeting by 26 November 2019 to Shelley Oakden (shelley.oakden@walsall.gov.uk).

If you fail to notify Walsall Council, Integrated Facilities Management Team by 15 January 2020 of your intention with regard to energy supplies from April 2020 onwards it will be presumed you are sourcing alternative arrangements.
