It has become apparent that when schools are making referrals where there is a safeguarding concern for a child or young person showing symptoms of radicalisation (from whatever ideology) the information is being sent to the PREVENT team within West Midlands Police. Please could you make sure that your school completes a MARF and sends it through to MASH on MASH@walsall.gcsx.gov.uk

Bob Spencer, Walsall Prevent Coordinator is also offering a further workshop for SPOC's at 10.00 am on 13th May 2016, EDC (WS4 1NG) where we will be exploring the referral process, looking at case studies and discussing the Walsall overview/update.
