About us
We have a network of libraries including a Mobile and Home Library Service. We have a range of services and resources:
- Free to join and there no fines for children
- Free access to computers and the Internet
- Printing facilities with 5 A4 black and white or 1 A4 colour copies free to all students
- Homework help from supportive and friendly library staff
- Participation in the Summer Reading Challenge and other events to support children’s reading and learning
- Specialist business resources from help for starter businesses to mailing lists
- Reading Groups for all ages
- A range of reading material from picture books, teenage novels to graphic novels
- A selection of E-books and e-audiobooks
- Half term activities from craft, story times to computer learning
- Tourist information and places to visit locally and regionally
- Curriculum support through our collection of online resources
- Mother and toddler groups

Online resources
A range of free electronic resources some of which are available remotely to Walsall Library members. They can be accessed remotely from school or home. The resources range from:
- Encyclopedias
- Oxford English Dictionary, Oxford Reference online, Dictionary of National Biography
- Issues – help with citizenship and curriculum areas
- Driving Theory and Hazard Perception tests
- Online access to over 11 daily newspapers and 50 academic journals/magazines (e.g. New Scientist, Economist)
