CHANGE4LIFE Eatwell Guide Resources

We know that many schools have used the Eatwell Plate in the past in school activities. It has now been updated to reflect latest dietary advice and a key change is that it is no longer called a ‘plate’ because the guidelines are not about a meal but the whole diet.

You can use the guide with your pupils to discuss:

  • the different food groups and why you need to eat more of some groups than others

  • the origins of food from the different food groups

  • how to check the label on packaged foods
