Managing Occupational Road Risk Policy

If you manage staff who drive for the Council/Schools, you will need to familiarise yourself with this new policy.

“Employers have a moral as well as a legal duty to adopt a proactive approach to managing occupational road risk and to do all that is reasonably practicable to protect their staff who may be on the road as part of their job. This applies whether the vehicles involved are owned by the organisation itself, by the employee, or any other party.” RoSPA

The Council’s Corporate Management team approved the Management of Occupational Road Risk (MORR™) policy on 18 October 2012

All officers of the council who manage drivers and/or vehicles, are required to read and understand the policy and act accordingly.
